Key to the success of Eastland Port are the people who work for it and the community around it.

It's because of that, the port is proactive in keeping its immediate community up to date with projects and plans, working closely with iwi and hapu, particularly Ngati Oneone, with a protocol in the final stages of sign-off.

Eastland Port continues to work with key Cone of Vision stakeholders to find an acceptable middle ground for all that recognises both the historical significance of the area and that the port is a busy functional export operation.
